These ceramic rocks, light , of irregular shapes, of very natural aspect, allow to easily build, by solid pilings, caves, arches, and all kinds of decorations, to create territories where the fish feel safe.
Porosity
A very important porosity, specially studied, with cavities, cracks and very many open pores, makes it possible to shelter a whole micro-fauna.
Aerobic and anaerobic bacteria find a favorable environment here.
Your entire decor is transformed into a living environment, reducing nitrites and nitrates.

These cavities are themselves lined with open pores of 20 to 100 µ. The purification bacteria which have a size of 1.2 to 1.5 µ can thus develop right to the heart of the material with a good supply of substances to be degraded.
